Order by 2pm Monday to Friday and your box is dispatched the same day on Royal Mail Tracked 48 — after the cutoff it leaves with the next working day’s post, and weekend orders go out on Monday. Most UK orders arrive two to three working days after dispatch. Delivery is £3.95, free on orders over £40, and you’ll get a tracking link by email the moment your box leaves the studio.

Unburned candles can come back within 30 days for a full refund — use the freepost label in your box and we’ll refund as soon as it lands.

Already lit it and the scent isn’t you? Our first-burn promise covers that: tell us within 14 days and we’ll swap it for any other scent, one swap per order. Burned candles can’t be refunded, but they can absolutely be re-homed.

Yes — add a gift note at checkout and we’ll handwrite it. Nothing in the box shows a price, and the packing slip goes to your email instead. Gift sets ship in a tied kraft box that needs no extra wrapping.

Post your empty jar back with the freepost label from your order — no cleaning needed. We dewax, refill with any scent you choose, re-cure and return it within five working days. £16 all in. A home refill kit is also £16 if you’d rather pour your own — the full loop is explained here.

100% soy wax, an unbleached cotton wick, and fragrance oils that are paraben- and phthalate-free at a 10% load. No paraffin, no palm, no dyes. As with any scented product, keep burning candles away from pets and ventilate the room.

Open studio runs every Saturday, 10:00–16:00 at Wickfield Works in Hackney. Smell everything before you buy, watch a pour if one’s running, and raid the seconds shelf — cosmetic misfits at £12 a jar. Directions are on the contact page.

We do — around twenty independent stockists carry Ember & Oak, from bookshops to wine bars. Wholesale starts at 24 units (mix any scents), with trade pricing, unbranded testers and a small point-of-sale card set included.

Because every jar is poured in batches of forty, wholesale runs on a four-week lead time. Send quantities and dates through the enquiry form — choose “Wholesale & stockists” — and we’ll reply with the trade price list within one working day.

Yes — favour-sized tins with your own label from 30 units, or a custom scent developed for venues from a minimum of 80 jars. Custom scent development takes six to eight weeks including curing and test burns, so talk to us early. Start with the contact form and tell us the date.
