The short version
- I collect only what you type into the enquiry form, and I use it only to reply and to run your booking.
- This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and stores nothing in your browser.
- Your photographs never appear in my portfolio without your written permission – asked plainly, after you have seen them.
- One email to studio@arjunraophotography.co.uk and I will show you, correct or delete anything I hold about you.
What I collect, and why
The enquiry form asks for your name, your email, a phone number if you care to leave one, your date, your venue or city, how you found me, and anything you would like to add. I use it to check the diary and to reply – nothing else. It arrives in the studio inbox and stays there. There is no CRM, no lead-scoring, and no mailing list for you to quietly fall into.
If you book me, the file grows in the ordinary way of paperwork: the contract you sign, your addresses and venue details, invoices, and my planning-call notes – timings, family names, which uncle owns the dhol. All of it exists so I can photograph your day well and bill it correctly, and for no other reason.
If you message me on WhatsApp or ring the studio, those conversations live on those services under their own terms, the same as any call or message between two people.
Lumo, the small chat window in the corner, runs entirely in your browser and answers from a fixed script. Nothing you type into it is sent to me – or to anyone.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t become bookings are deleted within twelve months of our last message – long enough to be useful if you come back, no longer.
Bookings keep their contracts and invoices for six years, because UK tax law asks me to. Planning notes are deleted once your gallery has been delivered.
Online galleries stay live for one year, and your photographs are archived privately after that – see the next section, because that part matters more than any of this.
