Ceremonies & occasions

We know the difference between a pelli and a reception

Every ceremony has its own food, its own timings and its own rules. We cater each one the way your family expects – not a generic “Indian wedding package”.

పెళ్లి

Pelli

The Telugu wedding

Muhurtham-morning breakfast for close family, a full banana-leaf bhojanam after the jeelakarra-bellam, and an evening reception spread. We plan food around the priest’s timings, not the other way round.

నిశ్చితార్థం

Nischitartham

The engagement

A smaller, sharper occasion where both families meet properly for the first time. We serve a seated tiffin-style spread – idli, pesarattu, upma, three chutneys – with sweets to send home with the guests.

50–200 guests Half day

హాఫ్ శారీ

Half-saree function

Langa voni · coming of age

Your daughter’s day, done beautifully. A festive lunch with her favourites on the menu, a chaat corner for her friends, and a sweets table styled to match the saree colours if you want it to.

బారసాల

Barasala

Cradle & naming ceremony

Small, warm and mostly at home. We bring a compact home-service team – payasam made fresh, a light lunch for forty to eighty, and everything cleared away before the baby’s afternoon nap.

40–120 guests 3–4 hours

గృహప్రవేశం

Gruhapravesham

Housewarming

New keys, boiling milk, and a house full of relatives. We handle the satyanarayana vratam prasadam, a pure-veg lunch cooked without onion or garlic on request, and service that fits around the puja.

సంగీత్

Sangeet & Mehendi

The night before

Food that works around dancing: chaat and dosa counters that run all evening, mirchi bajji at midnight, and nothing that needs guests to sit down for a formal service while the performances are on.

Catering menus

This is one family’s Saturday – a real menu we served in Harrow last summer. Yours is built with you at a tasting, dish by dish.

From recent mornings

The mornings behind the feasts

Garlands collected before the market is properly awake, idli with ghee on the muhurtham-morning table – the small, real things a wedding day is made of.

Planning services

More than the food, if you want it

Most families start with catering and hand us the rest one piece at a time. Take any of these on their own, or let us run the whole day.

Mandap & stage

Built to your priest’s requirements – four pillars, east-facing where the venue allows, with a fire-safe homam setup the venue has already signed off before the day.

Priest & muhurtham

We work to your priest’s timings, source one if you need, and lay out the full puja list – talambralu rice, kalash, betel leaves – before anyone has to ask.

Day-of management

One named event manager runs your run-sheet from mangalasnanam to the last paan, so your family sits with the guests instead of chasing vendors.

A family’s words

My mother-in-law took one spoon of the gongura pachadi and went quiet. Then she asked who made it. That is the highest compliment that exists in our family – and Saffron Sky earned it in front of six hundred and fifty people.

Start planning

Tell us the date. We’ll take it from there.

Send the muhurtham date, the occasion and a rough guest count. Lakshmi or Ravi will reply within one working day with availability and a starting price – in English or Telugu, no obligation.
