Questions families ask

Before you pick up the phone

Auspicious dates cluster, so good muhurtham weekends go first. For a pelli we recommend 9–12 months ahead; peak dates in April–May and August sell out over a year out. Smaller functions – barasala, gruhapravesham – can usually be arranged with 6–8 weeks’ notice.

Yes – separate cooking lines, utensils and serving crews, always. For puja catering we also cook without onion and garlic on request, and we can run a fully pure-veg event with no non-veg on site at all.

We are an approved caterer at several London venues and can work at almost any hall that permits outside caterers. Before you sign a venue contract, send us the venue details – we will check kitchen access, power for live counters and open-flame rules, free of charge.

We do – fresh leaves for the bhojanam, with trained servers who know the correct order of the leaf. Where a venue does not allow leaf service, we offer leaf-lined banquet plates that keep the look without breaking house rules.

We collect a dietary list with your final numbers and plate allergy meals individually, labelled by guest name. Jain, fasting-day and gluten-free versions of the core menu are standard, not an extra. Our allergen matrix for every dish is available before the tasting.

Catering starts at 100 guests for weddings (£24 per guest vegetarian) and 40 guests for home functions. A 25% deposit holds your date, 50% is due a month before, and the balance after the event. We take card, bank transfer, or UPI via our Hyderabad office for families paying from India.

Yes – about a third of our weddings are two-venue weekends. One crew runs the sangeet counters on Friday, a fresh crew cooks the pelli bhojanam overnight for Saturday. One quote covers both, and one event manager stays across the whole weekend.

Anywhere inside the M25 is included. Beyond that we regularly cater in Reading, Luton, Milton Keynes, Leicester and Birmingham – travel is quoted per event, usually £150–£350. For events in India, our Hyderabad office plans across Telangana and Andhra with ₹ quotes as standard.

Families do it every month. Call the Jubilee Hills office in your own time zone, send a local relative to the Wembley tasting on your behalf, and pay by UPI or bank transfer from India. One family booked their son’s barasala before their flight landed – we like to think the payasam was worth the jet lag.
