How we work
Exactly what happens, from first message to launch
Most studios ask you to commit before they tell you how any of it works. This is the whole process in plain English - what happens at each step, when money moves, what we need from you, and what you get after the site is live.
Step by step
Seven steps, and you always know which one you are on
The first three steps are usually done inside a week, and cost you nothing. The clock on the build itself only starts once you have approved the scope.
You get in touch
Reply within four working hours
Send an enquiry, message on WhatsApp or ring. You get a reply from the founder the same working day - not an automated acknowledgement, and never a quote before anyone has understood the business.
A short call, and a free website audit
20 to 30 minutes
We look at your current website, your Google listing and how enquiries reach you today, then talk through what you sell, who to and what is not working. You get our honest read of it whether or not you go ahead. Nothing to pay, and no obligation.
Your written proposal
Within one working day of the call
One recommendation, not a menu: the pages by name, what is included, what is not, the timeline with real dates, and one clear price with the deposit and balance set out. It is yours to sit with for 14 days.
You approve it, and we begin
The day your deposit clears
Approve the scope by reply and pay the 50% deposit - £375 on a Standard Website - and your slot goes in the calendar. Within the hour you get a welcome email with your start date, your discovery form and the short list of things we need from you.
Design first, then build
The main stretch - 1 to 4 weeks by package
You see the look of the site - your homepage and one inner page - before anything is built, with a short note on why each choice was made. Once you have approved it, we build the whole site on a private link you can open any time. How long this takes is what separates the three packages: a Standard Website is a shorter build than a Premium one.
Your review
Three working days is plenty
You read the finished site as one of your own customers would, and send everything you would change in one message. Two rounds of changes are included, and you do not need to be technical: tell us what feels wrong and we will handle the fix.
Launch, and the handover
The switch itself takes a day
Once you have signed it off, going live is quick: the balance is settled, the domain switches and the site is public the same day. You get the handover pack that day too - every account in your name, how to edit your own text, and a five-minute video walking you through it.
How long the whole thing takes
- Standard Website - 1-2 weeks from the day your deposit clears
- Business Website - 2-3 weeks from the day your deposit clears
- Premium Website - 3-4 weeks from the day your deposit clears
Those are the figures published against each package, and they hold as long as content and feedback come back within a couple of days at each stage. If anything is going to move the date, you hear it from us in writing before it does.
Your say
Three moments that need your yes in writing
A project only moves forward when you have said it can. These are the three points where that happens, and none of them can be skipped - including by us.
You approve the scope
Nothing is built until the pages, the price and the dates are agreed in writing. The deposit reserves your slot, and it is refunded in full if you change your mind before work begins.
You approve the design
The look of the site is settled while it is still quick to change. We do not start building until you have said yes to it, so the finished site is never the first time you see the direction.
You approve the site
The site only goes live once you have signed it off and the balance is settled. No website of yours goes public on a day you did not choose.
Your part
What we need from you, and when
It is a short list, and it is the whole of your homework. Send it in one go rather than in pieces and the project runs a week faster.
Before we start
- Your logo, in the original file if you have it
- Photos of your premises, team, work or products
- Any text you already have - rough is fine, we tidy it with you
- Access to your domain, or whoever set it up
- Your address, phone and opening hours exactly as they should appear
- Two or three websites you like, and what you like about them
While we build
- One reply to the design, with all your thoughts together
- One reply to the finished site, the same way
- Any testimonials or accreditations you want included
- Whoever else needs a say, brought in early rather than at the end
The one thing that delays a project
- Late content and slow feedback. Everything else we can plan around; this we cannot, because the site cannot be written without your words and pictures.
- If something is holding you up, tell us early. We would rather move the date together than let it drift quietly - and we will always say so in writing if it moves.
While it is being built
You are never left wondering where it is
An update every Friday
What was done this week, what is next, anything we need from you, and whether the live date has moved. You get it whether or not there is news.
A private preview link
The real site, as it is being built, open any time you like. Progress you can see rather than progress described to you.
Your own project page

- The answer is never no. You get a price and the number of days it adds, and the choice between doing it now or as the first job after launch.
- Two rounds of changes are included at the design stage and two at the review stage, which is more than most projects use.
- Nothing is ever added to your bill without you agreeing to it first, in writing.
After launch
The website is yours, in your name
Your domain, hosting, analytics and Google Business Profile are all in your name from day one, with us added as an editor. If you ever want to move on, everything comes with you - there is nothing to unpick and nobody to ask.
30 days of free fixes
Anything we built that misbehaves in the first month is fixed at no charge. You email, we sort it.
A check-in at 30 and 90 days
A month in we make sure it is all behaving. At three months you get the numbers - visitors, enquiries, best pages - and one honest suggestion for what to do next.
Maintenance, only if you want it
An optional monthly plan covering updates, backups, security monitoring and small changes. It is offered once, on launch day. If it is not for you, we will not raise it again.
The money side is set out in full in our terms and conditions, and the prices for every package are on the packages page. If anything on this page is unclear, ask before you start and you will get a straight answer.
Now you know how it runs. Tell us about your business.
Describe what you do and what is not working. You will get an honest read on whether we can help, and a free website audit either way.
